Grace Newton, LMSW is a PhD student at the Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice at the University of Chicago, where she studies transracial and transnational adoption. Prior to beginning her PhD, Grace worked as a public adoptions social worker in Wisconsin, and even before that, she started her critical adoption blog, Red Thread Broken, which she has authored for more than a decade.
