The International Korean Adoptee Association (IKAA):
Adoptee connections have always been an important part of IKAA. In 2021, IKAA will begin launching virtual events, creating new ways to connect and engage with the global Korean adoptee community outside of our regional boundaries. We look forward to seeing you online!
The Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network (KAAN) Community Conversations:
Founded in 1998, KAAN is an all-volunteer organization that is a special project under The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, fiscal sponsor. KAAN’s mission is to improve the lives of Korean-born adoptees by connecting the community and providing opportunities for dialogue, education, and support.
Global Overseas Adoptees’ Link (GOAL):
Global Overseas Adoptees’ Link was founded in 1998 by overseas Korean adoptees who returned to Korea. It soon became and remains the only adoptee-led non-profit and NGO in Korea. The following year, twelve adoptees gathered in Seoul for the first ever formal meeting. The year 1999 brought about the first G.O.A.’L conference, which continues on today.
