Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival

The first-ever Chinese Lantern Festival in the Northeast United States will fill Philadelphia’s Franklin Square with more than 25 illuminated lanterns through June 12.

Themed food and drinks are available from the Dragon Beer Garden.
Timed tickets for entry after 6 p.m. are available online.
The festival celebrates the traditions of China — and other Asian countries, too — with lantern representations of Chinese symbols, traditional performances, inspired takes on food and drinks and more.
When: April 22-June 12, 6 -10 p.m., Sunday-Thursday; 6-11 p.m., Friday-Saturday
Cost: Before 6 p.m., Free; After 6 p.m., $17 adults, $12 youth (17 and under), $15 senior/military
