Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival
The first-ever Chinese Lantern Festival in the Northeast United States will fill Philadelphia's Franklin Square with more than 25 illuminated lanterns through June 12. Fast Facts 25+ handcrafted lanterns throughout the square. Themed food and drinks are available from the Dragon Beer Garden. Timed tickets for entry after 6 p.m. are available online. Teen AdoptCONNECT
This year's community series focuses on the experience of children in foster care and adoption. Offered quarterly by Lesli Johnson and Angela Gee, of AdoptCONNECT and sponsored by Five Acres, the presentations will include documentary screenings with discussions, and workshops on transracial adoptive families and treatment strategies for children and adolescents.
